71 Safe Steps

The game "71 Safe Steps" was created for the GMTK Game Jam 2026.

Jam theme: COUNT DOWN.

The goal of the game is to find a way to survive and make it to work.

The player must navigate three deadly hazards, monitor stress levels, and manage items.

How to play:

• When you die, you rewind 71 steps back to the tragedy.
• Interact with the environment to obtain money and items.
• Keep an eye on your stress level—the higher the stress, the faster the steps.
• Buy items in shops.
• Use everything you’ve gathered to avoid death.

[WARNING: SOFTLOCKS POSSIBLE]  The game was created amidst frequent power and internet outages, so there was far less time to work on it than needed.
